Note: This prisoner arrived in camp on 16 February 1943: “February 16 1943 – Nos. 102526 – 103504 are given to 979 male prisoners and Nos. 35636-35938 to 303 female prisoners. The Sipo and SD for the Krakow District had sent 1,027 prisoners from the prison in Tarnow and 252 from the Montelupich Prison in Krakow to Auschwitz” (Auschwitz Chronicle p. 332)
Note 2: Christian Bernadac in his book La Libération des camps racontée par ceux qui l’ont vécue (Paris, France-Empire, 2005, p.47) mentions a Kapo by the name of Kaminski who was one of the leaders of the Auschwitz revolt. The same person (although it was a common name) ? CAMP TO CAMP LETTERS ARE EXTREMELY RARE
