Bio

David Hobbs is an English student at Queen’s University and will complete his BA (Hons) in the spring of 2010, after which he will pursue a graduate degree and hopes to become a professor of English himself. His Canadian literature instructor, Linda Quirk, who is a teaching fellow at Queen’s, encouraged him to participate in this project, and he is very grateful for the opportunity.

H. Pearson Gundy, Upper Canada's Publishing Historian

Best known for his role as chief librarian at Queen’s University, H. Pearson Gundy spent much of his career gathering information on the early publishing history of Canada, particularly that of Kingston, Ontario. This case study briefly summarizes Gundy’s career as a publishing historian and provides some examples of the stories that he uncovered.
