Brighton there is more of the social side of the War, if one can so express it. The Grand Hotel possessed an abundance of honeymoon couples and slightly wounded officers, and officers belonging to the various battalions stationed down there. It was delightful to take off my uniform and get into some decent clothes, & wrap myself up in my beloved fur coat & feel really warm for the first time for weeks.
