Transcript:

The last two local air raids we had I didn't know anything about having slept peacefully through both, which is a good thing -- For details see your local newspaper. I'm not allowed to mention them. I come to my usual early close when I review I must not write on conditions, weather, food, work, or thoughts and so with my poetic nature confined to "Went to Hampstead Heath on Sunday" I resign. -- In fact I am not sure that the above terse remark won't be crossed out.
So I leave you
poetically bursting
Eric
