Memorandum from Jack McClelland to Claire Pratt regarding Sheila Watson ms.
I agree with you and Salter that this is very good indeed. It is very skilful [sic] writing. I am not certain that it is quite as good as he thinks it is but I am no judge at that level. It will not be an easy book to sell unless a lot of critics agree with Salter but I think they will. I have passed the ms. to Earl Birney for an opinion. I am passing Salter's foreward [sic] back to you because I think it may influence the reader unduly.
