Letter from Duncan Scott (Royal Society of Canada) to Lorne Pierce (Ryerson Press), 17 November 1924 re Lorne Pierce Medal
Description: 

Letter from Scott (17 November 1924) informing Pierce that the Royal Society of Canada wishes to call their new award the Lorne Pierce Medal. “They are very anxious that your name should appear on the medal and wish me to express their view as strongly as possible,” Scott writes; “They wish to call it the Pierce Medal”.
